Email contact@fairfootball.app with a question, a problem or an idea. A real person reads every message.

If something isn't working, it helps to say which team, whether you're on iPhone or in a browser, what you tapped and what happened. The version number is shown on the sign-in screen and on the Squad screen.

Getting started

  1. Sign in with Continue with Google.
  2. Start a new team, or join one with an invite link from another coach.
  3. In Squad, add each child with their first name and initials, and tap the positions they like in order.
  4. In Matches, add a match. On the day, mark who's coming, then use Lineup to suggest a fair lineup one quarter at a time.

Fair Football is made for 7-a-side: a goalkeeper and six, in a 2-3-1, 3-2-1, 1-3-2 or 2-1-3.

Common questions

How do I add another coach?

Open the Team menu, then Account, and choose Make an invite link. Send the link to the other coach; they sign in and join. An invite link works for 7 days.

How do I share a child's page with their family?

In Squad, open the child and choose Make a private link, then share it. The family sees their own child's comments, things to work on and what they did well, with no app or account. Other children appear as initials only. You can switch the link off at any time.

Does it work with no signal at the pitch?

Yes. The app keeps a copy of your team on the phone. Changes you make with no signal are kept and sent as soon as it reconnects; the other coaches see them then.

Why don't I get substitution alerts on my iPhone?

Alerts need notifications to be allowed. In the iPhone's Settings, find Fair Football and check that Notifications are allowed. The match clock on the lock screen also needs Live Activities to be on there.

A child played less for a good reason. Is that time owed?

No. When a child plays less, pick the reason. Injured, unwell, arrived late, left early and asked to come off aren't counted as time owed. Coach's choice and other reasons are.

How do I delete a match?

Open the match and choose Delete match. On iPhone it's in the menu at the top right of the match. Its photos are deleted with it.

How do I delete a team or my account?

Open the Team menu, then Account. A team's owner can choose Delete team, which removes all its matches, photos and family links. Delete account removes your account; if you're the only owner of a team, hand it to another coach or delete it first. Deleting can't be undone.

I've lost my phone, or I'm signed in somewhere I shouldn't be

Sign in on another device, open the Team menu, then Account, and choose Sign out other devices.
